I wanted to start us off with sharing something with the class, like we would normally do in a classroom during the first class. Select a culture, not your own. Describe a ‘norm’ as used in the text in your readings this week of that culture that is different from yours. If you know someone of another culture, ask them, or tell us from your experience. If you don’t have any experience with other cultures, do a little research and tell us something that you’ve read. For example, in certain cultures it is perfectly normal to be late, almost expected. Tell us a little about what culture that is & why, then tell how it differs from yours.
