Statistics- What does an F-value of 56.74 and a Significance F of 0 mean

QUESTION

Thank you for populating the spreadsheet

What I did was to take your individual
spreadsheets and merged all together and tweaked by putting the financial
metric, Return on Assets. To facilitate
the final analysis, I copied and pasted the regression analysis below, so we
only have one document to work with.

For our final project,
using the regression post below, please discuss the following variables (note –
I highlighted in Green):

·
The adjusted R-square, for example, in the sheet, what does an adjusted r-square of 0.485 mean?

What
does an F-value of 56.74 and a Significance F of 0 mean? Hint – “Is our
model ‘statistically significant?”

·
What does the coefficient mean, for example, the 0.323?

·
What does a t-test of 7.53 and/or a P-Value of 0 mean. Hint – Discuss what is your alternative and
null hypothesis

·
What does the Confidence Interval of .237 to .409 mean?

Note
– be brief, succinct, to the point and use statistical language in your
interpretation, not, “everyday language” in responding to the preceding
bullets. Each bullet should take no more than three
sentences.

Finally, since the Board has no background in
statistical language or jargon, as part of your paper, prepare a final report to
the board that synthesizes and summarizes the bullets in a less formal summary
in two to three paragraphs

Good Luck Board Members!
