Acid/Manganese Oxide solution was filtered.9. The filter (Manganese
Oxide) was washed with 20 mLs of hot distilled water.10.The filtrate
(Benzoic Acid solution) was then heated to ensure that all Benzoic Acid was
dissolved.11.The filtrate was
allowed to cool down the room temperature for 20 minutes in it was place for 5
minutes in ice bath.12.This solution was
filtered to recover solid crystals of Benzoic Acid by using vacuum filtration
apparatus.13.The vacuum was
turned off and the solids were carefully transferred to fresh dry filter paper.14.The dried
recovered solid Benzoic Acid was weighed.
