Timothy, a native
of Columbia, accepted an invitation from his girlfriend Susan to attenda professional
football game at the Cowboysâ stadium
in Arlington, Texas. The Dallas Cowboyswere hosting the New York Giants. The
seats Susan had purchased were very good â just two rows up onthe 50-yard line. Timothy had recently
come to the United States from Columbia where Soccer (orFutbol) was his
favorite sport, and he knew nothing about the American version offootball.
During the game, a player by the
name of SamâThe AssassinâCassembecame
angry at a refereeâscall and,
in a fit of anger, took his helmet off and threw it into the stands. The helmet
hit Timothy in theside of his head and caused Timothy to suffer a serious head
injury. Paramedics were called andthey transported Timothy to thehospital.
Timothy never saw
the helmet coming towards him because he was playing on his smart phone atthe
time rather than watching the game. As he was unfamiliar with the American game
